Add highlights to your lettering with the Kuretake Fudebiyori white brush pen

There are many tricks and techniques you can use to bring more dimension to your calligraphy and really make it pop from the page. Adding shadows, for instance, lends extra depth to the lettering and forces it forwards in the scene. Likewise, adding speckles and spatters softens the harshness of white space and can make a composition look more balanced.
For this example, Andra has used both of those techniques but has also added highlights to her letters using the new white pigment brush pen from Kuretake. This opaque white brush pen adds a subtle effect to any other colours, which can be intensified by further applications. Take a view of Andra's video below to see it in action.
